Member for New England, Barnaby Joyce, announced a grant of $320,000 through the Incubator Support initiative to the Armidale-based university for its project, SRI AgTech Gateway: Global Focus for Australian AgTech start-ups.
The funding will enable extensions, refurbishments and improvements at Barraba, Bundarra, Tenterfield and Uralla, under the Liberal Nationals Government’s $40 million Aged Care Regional, Rural and Remote Infrastructure Grants scheme.
A new Government strategy will highlight the importance of digital skills in the New England and outline how local businesses can save time and money while delivering better services.

Secondary school students at O'Connor Catholic College in Armidale will benefit from new staff and administration offices, learning areas for dance, drama and music, and library areas thanks to a Federal Government grant.
