Diabetes patients in the New England can save thousands of dollars every year with free access to glucose monitoring devices coming into effect this month under measures introduced by the Federal Liberal Nationals Government.
Member for New England, Barnaby Joyce, said the new funding will be made available under Round 4 of the Coalition Government’s Safer Communities Fund for security infrastructure and activity-based projects that aim to protect children from violent attacks and harassment.
This funding will assist Uralla Shire Council to invest in various maintenance projects which will support local businesses and individuals facing the ongoing effects of drought.
Member for New England, Barnaby Joyce, said rural and regional community organisations will get help to reduce their power bills through the Coalition Government’s $5 million Solar Communities program which is part of new Energy Efficient Communities Program.
Communities in the New England will receive nearly $6 million under Round 3 of the Federal Liberal and Nationals Government’s highly successful Building Better Regions Fund.
