The Deputy Prime Minister and Member for New England, Barnaby Joyce, has urged people in the New England Electorate to apply for funding through a $1.4 million Turnbull/Joyce Government grants round to support events that will celebrate the history, culture and achievements of First Australians as part of NAIDOC Week activities in July this year.

Prime Minister and Member for New England, Barnaby Joyce, said the Woolbrook Hall and Park Committee and Kootingal and District Preschool today have received an Australian Government grant to honour the service and sacrifice of local servicemen and women.
Deputy Prime Minister, Minister for Agriculture and Water Resources and Member for New England, Barnaby Joyce, said Councils, private companies, not for profits and research organisations in the New England Electorate can apply for up to $5 million in funding to support smart tech projects for local communities.
Councils throughout the New England Electorate have the chance to fix local bridges that are in poor condition with the help of direct funding from the Federal Government.
Deputy Prime Minister, Minister for Agriculture and Water Resources and Member for New England, Barnaby Joyce, said schools in the New England Electorate would receive books and posters to educate students about Australia’s wartime history and commemorate Anzac Day.
The Commonwealth Government is encouraging the New England Electorate to incubate clever technology projects to prepare for a digital future.
