Member for New England, Barnaby Joyce, today announced a $200,000 investment in 12 projects for schools throughout the electorate.
Projects in Nundle, Ben Lomond, Guyra, Armidale and Tenterfield are among the latest to be funded under Round 5 of the Australian Government’s Stronger Communities Programme (SCP).
Tenterfield, Glen Innes, Armidale, Walcha and Inverell councils will receive further bushfire recovery funding from a $17 million fund through The National Bushfire Recovery Agency.
The Federal Coalition Government is backing towns in fire-affected regions through a $10 million tourism events and visitor attractions initiative to support communities and protect local jobs in rural and regional areas.
Inverell and Tenterfield organisations have been awarded more than $50,000 in combined funding under the Coalition Government’s Communities Environment Program.
