Tamworth Community Aged Care

Tamworth Community Aged Care

02 Sep 2022

Work has now started on a new Government funded aged-care facility which will create 144 care places in Tamworth, when Signature Care opens its Tamworth Community Aged Care building in 2023.

Signature Care has delivered 24 facilities across the nation since 2007 and is now undertaking planning and development of a further 16 sites, including Tamworth.

Federal Member for New England, Barnaby Joyce, said it’s fantastic to see modern aged care solutions come to New England and serve the region’s elderly residents.

“Signature Care has a history for delivering in regional areas and as the work on a centre here in Tamworth starts today this isn’t slowing down.”

“Aged care is one of the most common topics my office is approached about by constituents, to deliver a Government funded project such as this in the heart of Tamworth shows prudence and real growth in the sector.

“Not only does this new centre provide care for hundreds of residents, but jobs will also be created for local workers including those who in the future will study healthcare in Tamworth when the new University of New England campus is up and running,” Mr Joyce said.

A representative for Signature Care said this project will bring more than 200 jobs to the Tamworth region.

“Signature Care is proud to be supporting the local Tamworth community with this new aged care home. Not only will this state-of-the-art home provide 24/7 nursing care to those that need it most, but it will also provide some much-needed employment opportunities to the area.”
