More funding available for community infrastructure projects: Joyce

13 Jun 2014

FEDERAL Member for New England, Barnaby Joyce said grant funding of up to $200,000 is available in the New England electorate as part of the commemoration of the Centenary of ANZAC 2014 to 2018.

Mr Joyce said the funding was available in every electorate in the state and was being distributed by the NSW Community Building Partnership program.

“It’s a program aiming to provide improved community infrastructure and to encourage the enhancement of community-based activities creating more vibrant and inclusive communities,” Mr Joyce said.

Grants will be open to local councils and incorporated not-for-profit bodies such as charities, sporting, social and environmental groups, he said.

Projects are required to be completed before 31 March, 2016.
