It’s official! Member for New England and Deputy Prime Minister, Barnaby Joyce has been acclaimed Australia’s best Federal MP.
The honour is based on MP responses to correspondence and the assistance they provide as monitored by the FairGO organisation which runs the Votergram service.
FairGO Founding Executive Director, Greg Bloomfield said, not only had the Member for New England been voted Number 1 for the past term of government, but he has been voted the Federal Government’s best for three consecutive terms!
“Mr Joyce has brought home the trifecta,” Mr Bloomfield said.
“He has been the most responsive, most helpful Federal MP since 2013.
Mr Bloomfield presented Mr Joyce with an engraved crystal trophy, highlighting his achievement over the past three parliamentary terms.
The Electorate Office Staff, who oversee the office correspondence, were also recognised.
Mr Joyce said, he is thrilled with FairGO’s recognition.
“It is a great honour to receive the award, especially when it comes from simply doing my job. I take no-one for granted, nor do I take my position as the Member for New England for granted.
“I strive to serve the people of New England to the best of my ability and will continue to do so, should they see fit to re-elect me as their Federal MP on 21 May.
“I encourage everyone to ensure their vote is valid by numbering every square on the green ballot paper and by closely following the instructions for the white Senate paper.
