Barnaby's Blog

05

It has taken a little over a week to get more than 1000 names on the petition. The message has to be sent to the Rudd Labor Government that Australians do not want their mineral resources owned and controlled by a foreign state-owned entity.

Word of mouth and forwarding emails has meant the message is being spread across Australia and people are adding their names to the protest. Please send this link to as many people as you can.

Thank you, Barnaby.

Keep up the great work. Gov. is crazy if it does not stop China's communist party buying up our key assets.

We sure are vulnerable with a tiny population, plentiful resources, enormous border etc.

How about some more defence spending?

Our superfunds are collecting billions of dollars. Why no invest /commit say 5% of thesel funds to buying quality Australian assets NOW, including infrastructure investment. How hard can it be?????.

We shouyl dnot be giving China Inc any sizeable interest in our sovereign wealth. Rio shoul dbe forced to make ints HQ in Australia as indicated in the last significant FIRB approval. I an sick of our spineless decision makers selling our country down the drain. Its treasonous.

i 'd be very happy if all of us AUSTRALIANS get together and stop Gov. to
sell our assets.

The Rudd government is selling our lotteries for the next 30 years. Why so long? All these sales need to come before the House of Review for examination as they effect all future governments income streams and the welfare of the Australian people. Senator Joyce, could you find for us what Mr Rudd has to say about each and every one of these sales and also what he plans to sell in the future because I am sure the Australian people would like to hear his reasoning. These sales are coming so thick and fast, it seems impossible to even think what is happening to our country.

Will Mr Rudd sell my house out from under me? I feel like I'm living in AUSTRALCHINA. i heard him talking in chinese about renaming us but Kevin stood strong about the decision to call us CHINAUSTRAL. He didn't give in there thank God. I still get to talk English and I don't live in England. It's getting confusing living in AUSTRALIA as to who is who and who owns what. Seriously it shouldn't be. Should it?

Why the sudden change of heart when you have sanctioned such moves in the past

Barnaby thanks for coming to Bowen, today.

Your pragmatic comments regarding the $500Bn debt facing Australians (incl upwards of $200Bn state Gov't Debt), was a shock to many of us.

On the issue of Chinalco, you are absolutely right- it is the wrong move & Swan must recognise (like Costello did) you don't give away our resource control, despite our China Debt. These Hamersely & Alumina resource assets will enevitably pay their way for Australia and China will be part of the partnership, rather than controlling the Yarwun & Gove assets.

Better to have them invest the $4bn in the investment opportunity given them by the Qld govt. If Rio purchase goes ahead it will eliminate the Chalco Bowen development. Having worked in China for over 3 years, I want Chinese investment (& cultural ties), like what was promised for Chalco (Chinalco subsiduary), for Gove & Bowen, but not cheap control of existing productive assets.

Good luck mate & thanks for your contribution to the Bowen Salvo collection today.....! I think the 60-70 Bowenites who attended were impressed (including the Green vote!), & are looking for someone to REALLY represent this electorate (Federally), in the future!

Is it in your plans huh?!

Barnaby,

You have my [and my family's] full support. The lies and deception of this government are dumbfounding. Whilst Kev's off jet-setting on his private jet generating huge amounts of CO2 rather than attending Remembrance Day celebrations for our Diggers, he would do himself a huge favour by showing some leadership [for a change] and rethinking this.

One has to ask what are the motives behind wanting to rush into this given the implications and given the growing body of evidence and scientific community discrediting the CO2 driver. It seriously is bordering on being criminally negligent.

Hang tough - the country is counting on you and your colleagues to bring some common sense and reality to this.

Lest We Forget.

Jim.

Its time PM Rudd & Ms Wong we knew their agenda regarding cllimate change & how many shares they hold in these secret carbon companies & for that matter how many shares does Mr. Turnbull have.

Obviously The Rudd Government hasn't given this matter much thought, has it been pondered by the powers that be that Australia may need these valuable, sort after resources for the citizens of this country at some point in time? These resources should not be lost to foreign ownership. Is their anyone with any vision at all looking at these processes? Please think again.

Kathryn
